The expert:
Dr. med.vet Michael Hiestand
Dr Michael Hiestand has 30 years of clinical experience in the field of horses and small animals, where he is particularly active in surgery, wound care and orthopaedics. He is currently working in his practice near Zurich. Together with the Swiss manufacturer of cold plasma devices, ActivCell Group, Dr Hiestand developed the PetCell Pen project, first as a veterinary consultant and later as head of the veterinary division. In these roles, he acquired extensive knowledge of cold plasma therapy and collaborated with leading research institutes. In addition, he gained extensive clinical experience and case studies on cold plasma therapy in small animals and horses in his own practice and in collaboration with various dermatological specialists. He has also given lectures, about this topic, in several congresses internationally.
