May 2026 marks Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month and Forte Healthcare is proud to recognise and celebrate the vital role veterinary nurses play in delivering exceptional animal care every day.

Throughout the month, Forte Healthcare will be shining a spotlight on the veterinary nursing profession by sharing stories, recognising those who go above and beyond and highlighting the people behind the care.

As part of the campaign, Forte Healthcare has launched two special initiatives designed to celebrate veterinary nurses across Ireland and the UK.

Vet Nurse in Focus

Veterinary nurses are invited to share their experiences, insights and career stories through the Forte Healthcare Vet Nurse in Focus Survey. Participants who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a €500 voucher.

Vet Nurse Heroes

Forte Healthcare is also inviting nominations for Vet Nurse Heroes, recognising colleagues who consistently go above and beyond in practice. The winning nominee will receive a €500 voucher, while the person who submitted the nomination will receive a €100 voucher.

Throughout the month of May, Forte Healthcare will continue to share stories, features and activities across its social media channels as part of its ongoing support for the veterinary nursing community.
