Forte Healthcare was pleased to attend the British Veterinary Behaviour Association (BVBA) Study Day in Birmingham on 18th March.

Representing Forte on the day were Dr. Lucy Chadwick and Dr. Anna Lovell, who joined a highly engaging programme focused on multi-animal households. The event featured a fantastic lineup of expert speakers, including Helen Zulch, who explored managing ruptured relationships in multi-dog households, and Hannah Donovan, who addressed behavioural challenges in multi-cat environments.

Further sessions included Carrie Tooley, who discussed recognising and treating tension in multi-rabbit households, and Sarah Heath, who examined social dynamics and conflict in multi-species households. The day concluded with a panel discussion, facilitated by Tamsin Durston, focusing on fostering client compliance and understanding in multi-animal households.

The sessions provided valuable insight into the complexities of behaviour across different species and household settings, with a strong emphasis on improving animal welfare and supporting better clinical outcomes. It was also a great opportunity to connect with professionals across the veterinary behaviour community, share experiences, and hear the latest developments within the field. Catching up with familiar faces and meeting new colleagues highlighted the collaborative nature of this growing area of practice.

BVBA continues to deliver high-quality events that support continuing professional development (CPD), and this study day was no exception. Forte Healthcare is proud to support initiatives that contribute to education and collaboration within the veterinary industry.
