Kirsty has been a valued member of the Forte Healthcare team since 2021, bringing extensive experience in equine nutrition, veterinary nursing and practical horsemanship to the business. Prior to joining Forte Healthcare, she spent several years working within the equine nutritional industry and previously served as a lead equine nurse at one of Ireland’s largest equine referral hospitals.

In 2021, Forte Healthcare founded ARKequine, with Kirsty McCann and Director Richard Young leading the development of the brand from its inception. Kirsty has played a central role in shaping ARKequine’s practical, horse-centred nutritional approach and continues to lead the ARKequine team as part of Forte Healthcare’s growing equine division.

Her new role comes at an exciting time for Forte Healthcare as demand continues to grow across international markets. Kirsty will now focus on expanding the company’s portfolio of non-medicinal products and strengthening relationships with distributors and industry partners across the equine, companion animal and large animal sectors throughout Europe and beyond.

As part of her new position, Kirsty recently represented Forte Healthcare at the inaugural Horse Tech Summit Sweden 2026, held at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp. The summit brought together equine professionals, innovators, investors, veterinarians, and technology leaders to discuss the future of the horse industry and the role of innovation in equine health and performance.

The event marked an important opportunity for Forte Healthcare to connect with emerging international markets and engage with forward-thinking organisations shaping the future of equine care. Horse Tech Summit Sweden focused heavily on innovation, sustainability, technology and collaboration across the global equine sector. More than 130 industry participants attended the first-ever summit, highlighting the increasing momentum behind equine technology and international cooperation.

In addition to the Sweden summit, Kirsty also attended Interzoo in Germany, one of the world’s leading international trade fairs for the pet industry, where she explored emerging trends and innovations within the pet health and nutrition sector. Her attendance further reflects Forte Healthcare’s growing focus on companion animal health and strengthening international industry connections across multiple animal health categories.

Kirsty’s attendance at both events reflects Forte Healthcare’s ambition to continue building its international presence while staying at the forefront of animal nutrition and veterinary innovation.
